Job Responsibilities |
* We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Compliance & Sustainability to join our team, playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing our adherence to local and international sustainability standards. In this role, you’ll ensure our manufacturing facilities align with ethical and sustainable practices, particularly in compliance with the RMG Sustainability Council (RSC). * This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a solid background in compliance and sustainability to make a tangible impact. You’ll be part of a committed team, driving improvements in ethical practices and environmental sustainability within a leading industry player. * Key Responsibilities: * RSC Sustainability Framework: Implement and monitor sustainable practices in line with RSC guidelines, particularly in areas like fire, electrical, and structural safety. * Compliance Management: Actively manage and track compliance with RSC, BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, GOTS, and other certifications, ensuring the factory meets audit readiness and adheres to buyer and RSC standards. * Internal Audits & Preparation: Support the company’s internal audit process, ensuring that all facilities meet the required standards for RSC, BSCI, and GOTS certifications. * Corrective Action & Follow-Up: Oversee the implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs) based on audit results, ensuring that all actions are executed within deadlines to meet compliance requirements. * Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed compliance reports to senior management, ensuring documentation is thorough, accurate, and easily accessible. * Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, compliance auditors, and other external stakeholders, ensuring that communication around compliance, safety, and sustainability is clear and timely. |

Additional Requirements |
Age at least 40 years Strong understanding of RSC guidelines and industry standards like BSCI, SEDEX, GOTS, HIGG-SLCP, etc. In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Laws, factory rules, and global compliance regulations. Proficiency in MS Office with strong presentation and communication skills in English. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple compliance projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. |
