Job Context
Job Responsibilities
* 1. Procurement Strategy & Planning·

* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and project timelines.

* Forecast procurement needs and prepare budget estimates for materials, equipment, and services.

* Optimize sourcing strategies to reduce cost while maintaining quality and timelines.

* 2. Vendor Management·

* Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable supplier base for materials, equipment, and subcontracting services.

* Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with vendors, ensuring value for money.

* Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews regularly.

* Maintain healthy relationships and ensure supplier compliance with contracts.

* 3. Purchase Operations

* Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and invoice processing.

* Ensure timely procurement of materials and services for ongoing and upcoming projects.

* Implement cost control measures and ensure adherence to procurement budgets.

* 4. Contract & Compliance Management·

* Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements.

* Ensure compliance with internal policies, government regulations, and statutory requirements.

* Maintain proper documentation for audit and reporting purposes.5. Cross-functional Coordination·

* Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Planning, and Finance departments for procurement planning.

* Understand project-specific requirements and deliver procurement solutions accordingly.

* Resolve issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality discrepancies.

* 6. Inventory & Logistics Oversight·

* Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the warehouse team.

* Coordinate logistics and transportation of materials to project sites.

* Reduce material wastage and ensure just-in-time delivery to minimize storage costs.

* 7. Team Leadership & Development·

* Lead, train, and mentor the procurement team for efficient functioning.

* Assign responsibilities, review performance, and ensure team goals are achieved.

* Promote best practices and continuous improvement in procurement processes.8. Market Intelligence & Reporting·

* Stay updated with market trends, price fluctuations, and new material technologies.

* Provide regular reports to senior management on procurement metrics, savings achieved, and project progress.
