Job Responsibilities |
* 1. Strategic management · * Work closely with the MEAL Manager on the development and implementation of the MEAL plan outlining M&E systems for data collection, targeting and tracking indicators, assessments, learning activities and reporting in compliance with the requirements provided in the activity contract, donor regulations and standards. · * Contribute to establishing and managing a cloud-based MEL system and ensure data requirements are integrated into project management processes. · * Provide daily/weekly oversight and coordination of M&E colleagues including the partners ensuring they adhere to data collection methodologies and timeliness. Provide guidance and troubleshoot data quality issues promptly. · * Ensures projects MEAL/Q&A initiatives respect approaches such as gender equality, fairness and “do no harm”. In particular, protects confidential data, applies the principles of informed consent, and protects children during the completion of projects in his/her area of expertise. · * Ensures the optimal allocation and proper management of the MEAL resources (including financial, logistical, technical and human resources). * 2. Support to project and programme teams: Situation analyses, strategy and accountability. · * Provides methodological and technical support to the MEAL Manager while developing and writing MEAL Framework (logical framework, M&E indicators, budgets and organisational measures) in project proposals submitted to donors. · * Support the MEAL manager in the development of ToR for project evaluation, situation analyses, and specific assessments. · * Work closely with the consultants to ensure that the studies and assessments are done ensuring quality. · * Informs the Project Managers and Coordinators of any unmet targets, contextual changes (risks and opportunities) and negative effects on beneficiaries. · * Establish complaint, response and feedback mechanisms for the projects and ensure that the system works effectively keeping in mind the best interest of the project participants and community people. * 3. Data Collection, data analysis and reporting · * Perform data collection (survey, FGD, IDI, KII etc.) through established tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and adherence to ethical standards, including informed consent and data protection protocols. · * Perform data analysis using statistical software (SPSS, STATA, Excel) and interpret statistical and qualitative data for use in decision-making. · * Produce and support high-quality, evidence-based reports in a timely manner including donor reports indicating key results, challenges, successes, and progress to accurately reflect field-level conditions and project progress. · * Support team (including partners) in developing and maintaining an effective information database (including mobile-based data collection system), assisting in developing forms, data entry, storage and analysis templates. · * Ensure regular data validation checks to guarantee data integrity, traceability, and consistency for tracking and monitoring reports. · * Contribute to Tdh annual reporting process for projects being implemented in Daulatdia, Rajbari. * 4. Learning and training · * Develop and implement tailored M&E training for staff and partners, with a focus on enhancing their skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools. · * Provide coaching/mentoring staff and on-the-job training to improve capacity of staff in M&E including partners. · * Facilitate the project review, reflection and learning workshops to document lessons learned, gaps, challenges and recommendations and prepare learning reports to inform decision-making and capitalize on learning. * 5. Internal and external networking · * Takes part in discussions on MEAL within the organisation and with actors involved in this field in the country concerned. · * Takes part in discussions on MEAL and Q&A with Tdh teams in the zone concerned and/or head office. * 6. Security and child safety · * Ensure that security, child safeguarding, and fraud prevention policies are adhered to throughout the M&E process, including during data collection, participant engagement, and reporting. * 7. Other · * Demonstrate flexibility in taking on new responsibilities and adapting to evolving project needs as required by the line supervisor. |

Experience:· At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably with international non-government organisations in projects related to child protection, migration, and youth empowerment. Competencies:· Good understanding of participatory M&E methods and tools. · Excellent analytical skills with good knowledge and experience in research and M&E methods (qualitative and/or quantitative). · Excellent in using computers, and quantitative (SPSS, STATA, KoBo, Surveycto, Excel) and qualitative software (Atlas.ti/NVivo/Dedoose/MAXQDA) for data analysis. · Ability to summarize complex information and effectively deliver information to a diverse audience. · Able to work with stakeholders at all levels and ability to inspire people to support our work. · Have good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. · Fluency in spoken and written English and Bangla. Excellent writing skills demonstrated by a record of evaluation reports and publications. · Ability to differentiate priorities and execute intended activities on time and in collaboration with others. · Ability to work as a team member and coordinate with others. |
